became a branded

for McDonald’s.

McDonald’s was the official sponsor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, offering us a captive audience of millions. The only challenge was getting their attention during the 90 minutes of the game. Luckily for us, we were already on the field. Our two main brand colors were in play every match: the red card and yellow card. And we turned these two decisive colours into a branded conversation for McDonald’s. 

 

Every time a referee pulled out a red or yellow card – all fans had to do was snap a picture, sketch our fries on it, share it on their IG Story with #WannaGoToMcDs, and instantly receive a unique promo code in their DM – for FREE FRIES! Valid only for the duration of the match.
